entrepreneurs who have been in trade on inspection, survey and Legal Services consultancy.

Progress reports are established at the regular intervals from the starting date of the verification. Progress

We may clarify our position as saying:
- The cost of rectifying poor quality or obtaining replacements goods as an additional cost, which can be
avoided by Per-Shipment inspection.
- Often it is impossible either to rectify the quality defect or replace the goods once they are arrive and
in.
- These circumstances the buyer will suffer a loss of custom confidence and ultimately a drop sales.
- A part from the potential problem of poor quality there is no way of ensuring that fully quantities are
shipped without undertaking Per-Shipment inspection and loading supervision.

By attending at the shipper’s warehouses and/or go down, we can protect buyers by:
- Ensuring that all operations are carried out to buyer’s satisfaction.
- Minimizing spillage and/or loss of cargo.
- Supervising counting in the case of packed commodities.
- Leasing with the appropriate authority to assist in an operation.
- Identifying any matter, which may affect buyer’s rights and obligations, lodging necessary protests and
reporting to BUEYERS.
- Giving prompt reports and/or Certificates to BUEYERS on the visual; findings, stowage situation and
other relevant information, which may require.

 Supervisory of Weighting
The most common, and usually the most accurate, is a static weigh or scale. Our inspections supervise
weighing to ensure that all weightings are recorded accurately by:
- Verify the weighing apparatus before proceeding with superintendence or effecting weighing. If an
adequate check and adjustment for the weighing equipment is not performed, substantial variations in
weight are likely to be recorded.
- Balancing automatic scales and/or weigh bridges.
- Checking that the weighing equipment is functioning correctly and necessary test certificates.
- Agreeing with the counterpart and/or other parties the weight recorded and figures to be advised for
documents.
- An important feature of weighing is that the all the raw cotton bales actually weighed are critical
aspects and the inspectors will pay particular attention to these aspects.
- CIS’S inspectors are particularly well qualified, unequalled experienced for this task e.g. thorough
knowledge of the way weighing machines, weigh bridges, scales, scales etc, function.
- They supervise weighing operations to ensure that corrects weighs are registered.
 Supervision of Samples, Drawing and/or Sampling
- Proper drawing of samples is and “Art” which cannot be under estimated. In many cases samples
drawn are submitted to laboratories for analysis and the result serve as the basis for establishment of
final accounts. In case of arbitrating, the amount of allowance to be made in compensation for
discrepancies in quality condition are fixed on the basis f samples.
- The objective of a sampling is to obtain a small quantity of the materials, which accurately reflects the
consignments as a whole. This sample will then be used for assessment of Quality.

- Carrying out precise sampling of raw cotton in accordance with the contractual requirements on

requirements.
- Verification of shipping documents such as invoice, packing list, bill of lading and custom declarations.
- On request, checking the suitability of packing materials to withstand transportation, landing unloading
and/or transshipment operation.
 Inspection of Cleanliness (Conveyance)
- Most commodities particularly those in bulk, must be protected against contamination and/or
infestation. It is, therefore, highly advisable that –
- Receiving ship hold, deck, railway wagon, truck, container and other conveyance an/or storage
facilities are thoroughly inspected for cleanliness or fitness prior loading.
 Supervision of Loading
- To verify during loading and unloading operations that raw cotton bales are properly handled and
adequately secured on the means of transport.

- Checking the general appearance of the packing.
- Verification of the numbers of packing and the marking as per purchase order.

 Supervision of discharge
- By attending at the port or Mill side discharge, we can protect BUYER’S interest by:
- Ensuring that all operations are carried out to our BUYER’S satisfaction.
- Minimizing spillage and/or loss of cargo.
- Raw cotton bales properly handling.
- Identical to the imported raw cotton marking.
- Counting of raw cotton bells.
- Leasing with authority concern e.g. seller’s representative, shipping gents etc.

- Identifying any matter, which may affect our clients and obligations, lodging necessary protest and
reporting to our BUYER on the visual finding, stowage situation and other relevant information, which
may require.
- Acting, on behalf of BUYER at the agreed point of operation and reporting directly as necessary.
 Arrangement of weighing
- This most common, and usually the most accurate, is a static weighbridge or scales.

And

We are conducting weightment though LMD (Licensed Measurer’s Department of Chamber of Commerce
and industry of concerning port) scales – AND independent weighing organization to ensure that all
weighing organization to ensure that all weighing are recorded accurately by:
- Verifying the weighing apparatus before proceeding with weighing.

And

- We are aware that if an adequate check and or adjustment of the weighing equipment is not
performed substantial variation in weight are likely to be recoded.

COTTON CONTROLLING (QUALITY)
 Drawing of Samples
- A Sample should weight at least 6 ounces and consists of 2 parts of 3 ounces, each taken from
opposite sides of a bale. In drawing the samples, cut should be made deep enough to reveal a true
specimen of the bale and the face of the sample should be about 6” wide.
- The usefulness of samples also depends upon the prevention of its identity. A tug or coupon showing
bale number of origin, compress, warehouse or other identification should be kept between the portion
from the two sides of the bales.

 Care of Samples
- If a samples may be needed for future references after classifications, it should be carefully wrapped,
or rotted to pressure its identity. The sample may be preserved be placing it in an individual container.
- Samples should not be allowed to remain open on tables on exposure to dust may come loss of
brightness and exposure to light may cause color changes.
- Excessive dampness may accelerate the rate of increase in yellowness of the cotton.
- An extremely high temperature may increase the effect of humidity. The validity of any cotton sample
is subject, therefore, to the condition under which it is stored and the length of storage.

- Progress reports are established at the regular intervals from the starting date of the operations.

- Matters of urgency are drawn to the buyers attention by the fastest possible means e.g. thought
